Combining classic contemporary architecture with a unique blend of Mexico’s magical pre-Hispanic heritage and a touch of modern minimalist concepts, the resort was    designed in a horseshoe style by Alvaro Sans, one of Europe’s top 30 hotel architects. Brilliant gardens surrounded by magnificent low-rise terracotta towers and an oversized   free-form swimming pool are topped off by magnificent ocean views, in which Sans celebrates the dramatic communion of the California desert with the big blue sea of Cortez. In fact, a giant onyx pyramid in the resort’s atrium is one of Los Cabos’ landmarks.

Four exquisite a la carte and buffet dining options include: Elegant lunch and moonlight buffets at the oceanfront La Palapa Restaurant. El Quetzal Mexican Restaurant for sumptuous breakfast and theme dinner buffets. Gourmet dining at Las Terrazas Restaurant featuring Pacific Rim & California haute cuisine. El Mirador Snack Bar featuring poolside snacks and sandwiches for a relaxing lunch. Two weekly theme party dinners with show, including our traditional beach extravaganza and Mexican fiesta nights with live entertainment, music, and fun-filled contests. Midnight snacks served at our Fun Pub

Activities

Two weekly evening shows include live musical reviews performed by professional dancers, music, contests and much more.

New free standing Kids’ Club designed for children 5 to 12 years old, supervised by highly trained professionals in a fun-filled, friendly environment. Activities include:

Mini check- in, playground, fantasy make-up, arts and crafts, mini disco, children’s menu, Melia-amigos shows, sandcastle building, painting, supervised pool games, video games, camping-out, party dinners and more (day care for infants 0-4 years with, cribs, indoor play area, baby food and educational activities, available during July & August)

•          Daily program of activities for children and adults. Our professionally trained recreation team invites guests to join in an extensive array of daily games and classes including: water aerobics, tai box, yoga, Pilates, jogging, table tennis, cooking and Spanish lessons, fruit decoration, water polo, beach volleyball, non- motorized water sports, pool basketball, and table games – all conducted without loud microphones, to promote a relaxing atmosphere.
